Poetry on Prescription

Poetry on Prescription  is the latest in a series of online events under the 'Art in Isolation' banner, promoted by MKIAC  in light of the pandemic. Join with us on Thursday 19th November 2020 from 6pm to 7pm at the Facebook Live event, by clicking on the link below.  

Having identified need, left by the void due to the suspension of  many activities, including large gatherings, the idea for Poetry on Prescription was concieved  to find another way to meet the demand for an alternate platform to share ideas, artistic endeavours and channel energy positively, during the challenges facing us all due to the pandemic. MKIAC aim to engage people from diverse communities and cultures, in a way that celebrates inter-connectedness, shared values and our humanity. This is at the core of MKIAC goals, so we are putting on a stimulatiing event with Spoken Word, Poetry, Visual Arts and interesting sentiments expressed by our contributors, who all come from diverse backgrounds within the arts, also representing diverse community groups. 

We are pleased to announce the distinguished  Bidisha SK Mamata -  broadcaster, critic, filmmaker and journalist, as our MC. As well as hosting this event, Bidisha will no doubt have some interesting insights and anecdotes to add to what we think will be a captivating and thought provoking event. MKIAC very much look forward to you sharing this evening with us.
